• The new PowerBeam AC M5 Gen2 incoperates 802.11ac technology providing 256QAM modulation resulting in data rates as high as 450Mbps @ >65dBm, gigabit Ethernet, and AirMax packet prioritisation technology for superior latency reduction in your multi-point environment

• Previous PowerBeam and NanoBeam models were based on 802.11n technology which provided up to 64QAM (270Mbps, but often limited by their 10/100Eth interface to 100Mbps).

Improved Noise Immunity

• The PowerBeam AC Gen2 directs RF energy in a tighter beamwidth

• With the focus in one direction, the PowerBeam AC blocks or spatially filters out noise, so noise immunity is improved

• This feature is especially important in an area crowded with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency.

High Speed Network Sharing

• The Ubiquiti PowerBeam is an ideal all-in-one solution for bridging networks or sharing broadband across a long distance (up to 25km)

• To install, place the units at either end of the network and connect both to Ethernet cables - connect the first unit into your modem/router at location one, and the second into an Ethernet switch or WiFi access point at the second location

• This equipment is ideal for sharing an Internet connection over long distances, perfect for farms and agricultural facilities.

• This is a transparent data-link layer bridge, not a routed bridge - this means that you are creating a virtual ethernet cable between the two facilities, making network setup incredibly simple - no routing configuration, all protocols (DHCP, DNS, etc) just work

• Management of the Ubiquiti device couldn't be easier with SSH and SNMP protocol support, as well as a very intuitive HTTP interface.

Ready to Install

• This unit has all networking hardware and surge protection integrated and is completely weatherproof for permanent installation in even the toughest environments

• Signal strength indicators allow for quick and easy alignment

• For best performance the unit should be roof mounted, high and clear of obstructions, via its integrated pole mounting bracket

• The units are powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) - simply plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the PowerBeam, and the other into the PoE Injector (which is plugged into AC power)

• This allows one cable to both power the unit and also carry network traffic

• We recommend using Cat6 Outdoor UV Shielded Cable with this unit.
